Is underway and we had a great response again for all Teams.  Thanks to our coaches for volunteering and for taking the coaching clinics that were offered.

 

VOLUNTEERS/HOURS

Contact Sheri at 866-2930. Thanks to everyone who has signed up for all the new events. It may be a bit of a chore but always keep in mind that without your help the doors would be closed and the children would not have any club events. If you have any time or skills that you are willing to share with your Community please call. If there is any change in volunteering for an event you signed up for please try to find someone to work for you and remember to give the club enough notice for find someone to fill you place.

 

SOCCER CLINIC by MANITOBA SOCCER ASSOCIATION:

Thank you to Dan Kostiuk for organizing and running the SOCCER CLINIC.  The Manitoba Soccer Association taught the clinic and many of our players are already showing the skill they have learned.

 

ANOLA HEAT  

Enthusiastic and vibrant coaches teach young children from age 4-20 the basics of hip hop, dance, and baton.  It's never too late to register your children and give them "something to do" throughout the cold winters.  Contact Jennifer @ 866-3166.

We are having our annual Bud, Spud & Beef to be held on Saturday, March 6th, 2010 at the Anola Community Club.  Please come out and help support these girls!!!  Both Adult and Children's tickets will be available.  You will also be able to take part in a silent auction and be entertained with a baton demonstration.  For tickets contact Nicki @ 866-3102 or Jennifer @ 866-3166.  Keep your eyes open for posters and more information on this fundraising event to take place in June.

 

YOUTH & MIDDLE YEARS DANCES:

are offered on Friday evenings for 7 – 10 pm. The admission charge is $3.50 all kids must be signed in and out. We have door prizes, dance prizes and a silent auction. The kitchen is open with lots of goodies to offer. Any questions call Nancy 866-3759 or Sheri 866-2930, please consider helping out! The kids really enjoy a night out!

 

MOVIE MANIA

Looking for some fun, family entertainment at outrageously reasonable prices?  Well, look no further, because here it is!

Admission to Movie Mania is free of charge! Come out to the Anola Community Club for a full afternoon including two family-rated movies.  Pizza, popcorn and drinks are available at very reasonable prices.

PROGRAM FUNDRAISING

Due to the rising costs of keeping the Anola Community Club open, starting this fall we will be increasing the fundraising amount to $80.00. This means, when you are given a fundraiser to sell you will be obligated to sell $80.00 of product or you have the option to "buy-out" for $60.00.

SELO UKRAINIAN DANCE:

Zabava/Social Evening!
The Selo Ukrainian Dancers are a troop of enthusiastic performers rehearsing out of Anola, Manitoba.  The dancers range in age from 5 – 18.  They have a repertoire of dances and colourful costumes that are representative of every region of the Ukraine.

The Selo Ukrainian Dancers are hosting a Zabava/Social Evening on Saturday, February 6, 2010.  “Zabava” means “a huge Ukrainian party with lots of food and dancing.”  This year’s Zabava will feature a live band and a hot lunch, at the Anola Community Centre. MOHUTNIY UKRAINIAN DANCE ENSEMBLE:

Is a group of adults who meet at the corner of Hwy 12 and 15 every Wednesday night to learn Ukrainian dance, and to have fun! 

This year we traveled to Brandon MB and Yorkton SK to participate in their Ukrainian festivals.
